About Us
Welcome to Msamaria. In Kiswahili Msamaria means “Good Samaritan”.

INTRODUCTION
The Msamaria Centre for Street Children is Tanzanian registered NGO which provides support and care to street children, orphans, families and communities. Msamaria is located in Northern Tanzania in a city called Moshi which lies at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro. The centre accommodates 40 children but Msamaria supports up to 60 children in total ranging in ages from 6 to 18 years old. Some of the children attend boarding school whereas others have returned back to their families however they still require support where they are too poor to provide the child with food and education.  The majority of the children were rescued from the streets where they lived due to various difficult situations. Under the guidance of Mr. Folkward Mapunda and his volunteers, the children are now living a better life and beginning to realize their full potential.
